ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Iron Mountain Entertainment Services (IMES) is seeking a Quality Control Technician with file based quality control experience who will be responsible for video, audio and film file evaluation in the digital studio space. Coordinates and trouble shoots project assignments. Communicates directly and works with Project Managers and the Studio Manager.
•Responsible for evaluating physical and digital media
•Ensures that the screening environment complies with required security protocols and ensures proper setup of the screening environment by performing technical procedures, to determine whether they pass or fail acceptable delivery requirements
•Conduct Audio/Video/subtitle evaluations for all including Audio Sync
•Verifying metadata against work order requirements
•Setup of playback servers, audio configuration, and various media systems•
Logging data regarding QC evaluations•
Notification of QC-flagged items•Completing tasks in the database
•Duties require an accurate and methodical approach to testing as well as very focused and detailed attention to audio, video, and film impairments and artifacts•
Working knowledge of both OSX and Windows and a fundamental understanding of audio, video, and film
•Familiarity with media players QuickTime, VLC, Windows Media Player
•Must be organized, diligent, and detail-oriented and possess strong written and verbal communication skills
•Self-motivation and effective time management: planning, organization and prioritization for the successful and timely completion of projects
