ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY…

Iron Mountain Entertainment Services (IMES) is seeking a Data I/O Technician with experience managing client files across multiple delivery platforms (servers, drives, LTO, Cloud) throughout media migration/preservation production projects and client deliverables. Communicates and takes direction from the Studio Manager and the IMES Technology Team. At each IMES Studio location, the local Data I/O Technician is a point of contact for all technical information exchange. This position requires attention to detail and a clear understanding of file management, proficiency with basic file-management tools, ability to follow, revise, and process workflows. Additional requirements include, but are not limited to: file management tools, proficiency with MAC, LINUX and PC platforms, data-base and inventory platforms (i.e. Filemaker, Excel, etc), network infrastructure, cloud storage, and backup systems. This position requires a general familiarity of common file-based media conversions tools (i.e. Telestream Vanatage, Adobe Media Encoder, Amberfin, Alchemist). The ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task and work with tight delivery deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES…

  • Point of contact and subject matter expert for Data I/O information exchange with internal teams.
  • Data File Management
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, update, and general maintenance/upkeep of existing equipment
  • Digital media delivery: Digital delivery, LTO, Hard drive
  • File based conversion
  • Recommend and test new and used equipment (hardware and software) including software version, driver and firmware update management

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS…

  • Familiarity data management tools (excel, filemaker)
  • Telestream Vantage and LightSpeed, Black Magic, Adobe Media Encoder
  • File migration, organization and archiving
  • File manipulation: Transcoding
  • File Delivery: Digital/LTO Write
  • File Packaging
  • SAN Content Maintenance
  • Proficiency with database and inventory platforms, MAC/PC.
  • Attention to detail / quality control. File-management Organization
  • Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
  • Effective time management: planning, organization and prioritization for the successful and timely completion of projects
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
