Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Warehouse Destruction Technician Mechanic Repair heavy industrial size machinery. Collect classified and unclassified materials from Pallets, boxes, Grey bins and prepare to shred items. This position requires Lifting heavy bags, push rolling carts and pulling two- and four-wheeled containers. The Destruction Technician will operate the shredding equipment. Training will be provided.

PAY: Up to $30.00 per hour DOE (Paid biweekly)
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (Occasional weekends)
HOURS : 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Shift may include OT as needed)
LOCATION: 11701 Missouri Bottom Road Hazelwood, MO 63042
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair plant equipment such as shredder, baler, conveyor belts.
- Daily Inspection of equipment , dust collection system, and air compressor
- Receives documents into the facility, maintaining security and documentation of contents received.
- Performs secure document destruction through shredding and baling activities.
- Assists in unloading vehicles or trucks for Drivers/Customers receiving onsite document destruction.
- Operates shredder and baler; ties off bales and moves bales to staging area with forklift or pallet jack.
- Cleans assigned area at the end of each day.
- Assists with archiving documents in a safe and organized fashion.
- Participates in maintenance of plant property and surrounding area.
- Assists at Document Storage facility. Associate utilizes lift and should not be afraid of heights.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed mechanic and experience repairing industrial size machinery or experienced equivalency preferred.
- High school education or equivalency preferred.
- Ability to achieve and maintain NAID security credentials and forklift certification. If not certified we will train.
- Ability to read, understand and communicate safety and production instructions.
- Ability to read and write English legibly and keep detailed records of work performed.
- Ability to work independently, follow detailed procedures, and perform with limited supervision.
- Ability to regularly bend, twist, and lift and carry up to 75 lbs, stand and walk up to 8 hours a day.
